Snow Patrol
I really only listen to one of their albums but I believe that album is extremely good, so I guess you could call this a review of “Final Straw” (above). I particularly like how mellow it is even when it is semi loud and I also like the use of simple guitaring because it sounds good but isn’t too complicated. One of the things that I am the most fond of is how sometimes the lyrics don’t rhyme, and if you write songs then you know how hard it is to write things that don’t rhyme but still sound good, or at least that is the case for me. In the way of being appealing but not too “pop like” it is definitely up there, mostly because it uses some aspects of pop so that it sounds good to a broad crowd but it isn’t disgustingly pop like so I give it a thumbs up.
I have listened to some of their other stuff and I think that I enjoy “Final Straw” the most but if I listened to some more of their music I would like it. I highly encourage everyone, especially those that write music, to listen to at least a couple songs off of this album.
