I realize that I need to make more posts in order to satisfy the few people that actually do read my blog so I have a proposal for you; if who ever is reading this suggests my blog to their friends then I will post two updates every week. You may be asking “how will he know if we suggested it?” and the answer is I won’t, but if I don’t get the slightest rise in number of views within the next week I will probably continue my horrible posting habits. With that said I can now move on to the next band I will review. As I said in my last update, I have been listening to a lot of electronic music and so I decided to continue posting with that theme.
This next band is a very typical electronic band, they starred in a movie recently and I believe every person reading this has heard of them. You’ve probably guessed it but the band I am talking about is Daft Punk. I, being new to the whole electronic music scene, only have their newest album which is the soundtrack to “Tron: Legacy”, which they starred in. Considering that everyone said that this album wasn’t very good I would say Daft Punk is a very good band, mostly on the basis that when I hear an album that is said to not be good and then immediately go buy it and listen to it more than anything else at the time I assume that the band is good. With this said don’t criticize me, because I have heard some of their other songs and I am still impressed. One thing that I really like about Daft Punk is that even though they are an electronic band, some of their songs still have lyrics, even if it is a computer singing them. They have an amazing talent for making you want to hear more by starting soft and gradually growing stronger, or dropping of just to pound back again, I, as a writer, find this amazing. So over all I would say, if you like complicated melodies, catchy tunes and perfect musical technique then I would recommend you buy a Daft Punk album.
